Upon arrival, I realized there was no Filipino food in Boston that was easily accessible (shout out to JNJ for holdin' it down on weekends with their turo-turo counter). I took for granted hearing Tagalog at the mall and being able to easily order sweet spaghetti at a drive-thru. After our first pop-up, I learned I wasn't the only one that was homesick, and that's been a driving force ever since.
For me, food is so inextricably tied to love, to family, to an understanding and sense of self. And with each day, the mission becomes clearer:
Make Filipino food happen in Boston.
